What is Digital Project Management

Course Outline
The course is spread into 10 days of interactive learning based on a Structured learning Experience (SLE) approach. It includes lectures and workshops to put into practice what you have learned.
Day 1: Introduction to Digital Project Management
Know the basics of the digital world and the new normal
The first day covers basic information and knowledge on the digital work – get a solid understanding on the difference between traditional project management and digital project management. All participants will have the chance to introduce themselves and get to know their classmates.

Day 2: Setting up of Digital Office, Virtual Workplace, and Working on a CDE/Process Management Fundamentals
Be ready to transition and open your arms to the virtual world
The second day brings us to the intricacies of the digital office, virtual workplace, and the processes involved in management fundamentals. The lectures and activities cover aspects such as the setting up of a digital office, joining a common data environment platform and analysis of the management process.

Day 3: Collaborative Project Execution Planning
Start your project right with the right information
The third day includes lessons on how to plan execution of projects accordingly as specified by the client using a BIM platform. There will be activities that will enable participants to get the feel of using a BIM platform and collate the necessary information that a project requires.

Day 4: Preparing Schedules and Simulations using BIM
Create cost-effective timelines and plans that enables you and your team to manage resources
During Day 4, you will learn fundamental techniques in planning a project using the appropriate tools and techniques in performing project scheduling and the utilization of 4D. There will also be activities that will guide you to creating a project timeline.

Day 5: Quantities and Plans Extracted from BIM
Easily extract plans and gain an idea on the quantities of materials in a project using BIM
In Day 5, you will learn to understand and demonstrate the actual activities performed in extracting plans and quantities in BIM. There will also be a lecture on different practices employed in checking BIM qualities. Activities are prepared for you to let you get the feel of using a digital platform in lieu of the traditional methods.

Day 6: Real-Time Costing, Project Estimating, and Value Engineering
Come up with accurate quantity estimates then apply value engineering for a more cost-efficient approach
The lectures delve into project estimation and value engineering to guide you in coming up with a more cost-efficient approach to project implementation. You will be required to interpret the data acquired and provide multiple perspective through the activities using an online platform.

Day 7: Virtual Inspection, Documentation, and Control

Day 8: Project Close-Out using BIM & CDE

Here, the lectures discuss the aspects of closing out a project. You will be enlightened how easy it is to collate and submit documents to clients through the use of a common data environment platform. You will be guided based on the international standard of construction operations building information exchange.

During our last day, you will be taught a vital skill that separates an ordinary PM from a DPM. The lectures cover the topics of decision making and problem solving using virtual technologies. Also, there will be discussions on virtual team building.

Your Knowledge Experience
The program is an 80-hour course spread over ten (10) Fridays and consists of online lectures, peer discussions, open forums, and workshop activities.
Orientation
The first day is understanding the concept of Digital Project Management and orientation with the available digital tools. During this session, participants will have a chance to know each other and learn the most important and essential tools in digital project management.
Setting the Objectives
Learning objectives for the duration of the course is established to ensure that learning outcomes will be obtained.
Online Lectures
Live online lectures will be conducted by the knowledge expert of ESCA Knowledge Academy via Zoom and the recorded session will be available to be viewed at vCAMP Training Platform.
Student Forum
Our vCamp platform provides a venue for participants to express their opinions and share experiences through our student forum. Students may post questions and queries or merely start a conversation with other members of the vCamp platform.

Program Access
You will have continued access of the program video recordings for up to 6 months from the end date of the program.
Certification
There will be three types of digital certificates that a participant may receive from ESCA Knowledge Academy throughout the course as follows:
- Upon completing a lecture module, you will receive a digital Certificate of Attendance.
- Upon completing the whole course program, you will receive a digital Certificate of Completion.
- Upon passing the assessment examination, you will receive a digital Certificate of Proficiency.
